During E3 many people were curious as to which console the footage of BF3 was being played on. Some were worried that it was PC footage being shown in fear that the public wouldn’t like what they saw when it was played on consoles. During E3, a part of the development team was asked what was being shown, their answer? It was a mix of all the consoles. Everyone at this time took a sigh of relief knowing that gameplay would go unhitched on console. Recently though, we’ve learned that even though footage looks good on on consoles, it will still run best on PC. We know it LOOKS good, so we are guessing this means that the frame rate will be better on a PC and therefore less frames on console. This will definitely make the PC gamers happy, especially since it has always been almost totally a PC game. On the other hand, console gamers may have a bit of worry, but i assure you, from the footage we saw at E3, and what the frostbite 2 engine is capable of, I’m sure it will run just fine.

Bethesda game studios has been very hard at work. This has been such a busy time for them as they have been working on three pretty highly anticipated games. The first is Brink a FPS which as already been released and received decent reviews, RAGE is a FPS RPG type deal that will fell like Fallout but play like Borderlands and should be out October 4th. Probably the biggest hype is for the fifth installment of the popular series from Bethesda, The Elder Scrolls, and that game is Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The game will have the basic game mechanics as the previous games though it is sporting a very nice new engine and new gameplay features. It will be full of very exciting game play as well as normal things that you know and love from the series like expansive worlds, all kinds of characters, and a good fight at every corner. They have gone and streamlined a lot of the fighting and magic abilities as well. Spells are easier to cast, and can be cast with one or both hands for a more powerful effect. The weapons are going to be a large part of the game as well, but the biggest thing is the new dragon-borne abilities that the character can possess from slaying dragons. Some have the power of fire, others ice, wind and such things which the character, able to harness these powers for a reason to be revealed in the story, can use against their foes. There is a lot that has been improved upon since Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but the things you loved about the game are back and most, better than ever. Its a very exciting game and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Lets just hope they don’t use only 4 voice actors for 90% of the dialog this time. Oh good, they are using 70.

E3 is over. We saw so much in just the first two days from all of the big gaming companies. There was a much anticipated announcement for the next-gen console from Nintendo, the Wii U, tons of Microsoft Kinect games and Sony released their PSVita, previously known as the “NGP”. Best part about it was the price; $250 for WiFi and $300 for 3G that will probably be on AT&T. While there was a lot of popular games being announced this year, most complained that what was announced, people were already expecting. Where E3 disappointed this year was surprises, the only thing we saw new this year was the Wii U. As far as games, every one was really pumped for all of the trailers of the new games coming out this year. Battlefield 3 gave a stunning demo, displaying gameplay from all consoles and it looked great. Call of Duty: MW3 gave us a very exciting and familiar gaming experience that many people are excited for. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword looks great and has lots of fans excited. Among the greats, Gears of War 3 and Halo 4 as well as Halo Anniversary are definitely on the wish lists for Xbox 360 users. For Playstation 3 users, a new Uncharted looks awesome and there are some great Move titles coming out. There is lots of great stuff coming out, what are you excited for? Let us know in the comments.
